One week until Lilac Festival! 🌸🤗🌸
When the sun and moon cross paths, and create the most incredible, miraculous and surreal effects on the entire vibe and mood…that alone has the most lasting and unforgettable effect ☺️ This was at near maximum totality along in the Straits of Mackinac and words (nor this capture) can express the surreal beauty that resulted from this wondrous event. I was just plain in awe with the incredible, eery shadows cast during those moments, the stunningly filtered light (that brilliantly brought out the turquoise hues in the water below…and that temperature drop! Just a million wows to it all! As mentioned in my previous post of the partial eclipse, I also also captured this image overlooking the bridge and this entire scene (minus the eclipse that was mostly hiding behind the clouds rollling through). I was just in love with this entire experience, vibe and scene! This one from a few winters ago is one of my favorite memories and was an especially fantastic year for blue ice (crossing fingers for more of a ‘normal’ Michigan winter and this to look forward to once again).
