Over the next few days, we are honored to welcome thousands of guests and visitors to Mackinac Island as they choose to celebrate Independence Day with us. With that, we invite you to experience our newly reimagined Parlor at Grand Hotel. Since 1887, the Parlor has been the heart and soul of Grand Hotel, a place where guests gather to share stories, enjoy live music, and prepare for unforgettable adventures on Mackinac Island. In 1976, Grand Hotel partnered with Dorothy Draper & Company and Carleton Varney to transform the space with signature touches like the red geranium, Grand Hotel green, and vibrant furnishings spanning the decades. Now, the Parlor has been refreshed once again. The iconic dark green has been replaced with a new coral hue, Huron Sunrise, evoking the brilliant skies over the Straits of Mackinac. A new mural graces the Afternoon Tea area, complementing the Victorian scenes on the east and west walls. The carpet has also been completely updated throughout the entire Parlor level, including Peacock Alley, the Art Gallery, guest room hallway, and the Main Dining Room. Look closely and you might spot a single Grand Hotel “G” hidden in the new pattern of vines and red-and-green geraniums. We also invite you to return this fall for Dorothy Draper Design Weekend, September 26–28, 2025. Join us in celebrating 100 years of iconic American interior design with special events, including “Draper 101: Tea and History,” exclusive insider sessions, Afternoon Tea in The Parlor, and a grand 100th Anniversary Celebration Reception. “ Oh, the places you’ll go! “ Dr. Seuss. Beautiful stormy morning in Mackinac Island. The Starlight Hydrojet Ferry going under the Mackinac Bridge! Can you see the cars and trucks on the bridge? We had a wonderful time on this beautiful island, thanks to my sister malathikarri and my brother_in_law for planning and arranging this trip! Fun facts about Mackinac Island 1. Mackinac Island is home to the largest Lilac Tree in Michigan. 2. Mackinac Park is the second National Park and Michigan’s first State Park 3. Mackinac Island uses 10 tons of Michigan sugar per week! 4. Mackinac Island is home of the worlds largest porch. 5. Mackinac Island has about 500 full time residents 6. Mackinac Island means place of the Great Turtle. 7. Over 82% of Mackinac Island is state park. 8. Motorized vehicles are banned on Mackinac Island. 9. Mackinac Island has 1400 bikes for rent. 10. Mackinac Island was the center of the fur trade.

Medyo kaka-iba mga goals ko nung bata ako.. they contradicted each other – florist 🌸 kasi na addict ako dati over Thalia and her character as “Rosalinda”! 😍🌹 Doctor 👩🏻⚕️ kasi gusto ko mang gamot ng libre sa mahihirap ☺️, Pilot 👩✈️ dahil na amused ako sa mga eroplanong lumilipad sa ibabaw ng bahay namin galing Plaridel airport, Artista 🎞 naman dahil sa kagustuhan ng aking nanay saka gusto ko din sana ma pa-aral lahat mga kapatid at pinsan ko.😊 Ito katuwa sa lahat, mga 6 yrs old ako noon - pinangarap ko talaga maging magla-lako ng manggang hinog!!🥭😂 May mga puno kasi kami ng mangga sa probinsya tapos cool na cool sa tingin ko ung mga aleng may bilao sa ulo habang nagla-lako ng paninda nila. No joke!😅😍 – Well, with the exception (still) of being a mango peddler, I’d say I got to experience all of them one way or another. Flight ✈️ school, showbiz... I am actually now a gardener and sick people - I heal in Jesus’ name!!😄🙏🏼😉 And even though I wasn’t as successful as I could’ve chosen to be in the industry of showbiz and aviation, I am living my dream life💍🤱🏻. I absolutely love the woman of God I am becoming!!💖 And it feels so good to say. . . He’s not even finished with me yet!!!☺️ 🙌🏼 Drop a ♥️ below if you love the wo / man you’re becoming!!!🤗 #ThankYouJesus ✨

It is a natural limestone arch formed during Nipissing post_glacial period. To this day Arch Rock stands on the Lake Huron shoreline 146 ft ( 45m ) above the water. My inspiration for this post is thurro_alexander. Hope you like it Alex, it’s not as dramatic as yours!
